I thought about opening a topic where we can talk about our personal Lotro music files or help each other with our already existing ones.

Q: Where do I find songs to download?
A:
Most common websites are:
http://www.thefatlute.com/
or
http://www.lotro-abc.com/
Q: Where do I save the downloaded files?
A:
My Documents > The Lord of the Rings Online > Music
If the "Music" folder doesn't exist you need to create it manually
Q: I wanted to download a song but only see weird text and I can't save it.
A:
Sometimes songs can only be opened as text files and aren't downloadable as normal .abc files. Just open Windows' Editor program, copy the whole text you see into the Editor and save it as a text document with the name you want to give the file in the Music folder.
Q: How do I play music in game?
A:
When in music mode (/music) type: /play [file name]
To sync a song with more than 1 part with other players type: /play [file name] sync
To start the syncronized playing type: /playstart

Q: How to upload any music files on the SB website for everyone to download?
A:
Go to "Gallery & Songs" at the upper navigation bar of the website
Under the title "Image Gallery" you find 2 tabs: "File library" and "Galleries"
Once you clicked on "File library" scroll to the buttom of the page
There you will find "Send this file:" followed by a blank field
Click on that field to click the "Browse" button
Choose the file you want to upload or the .zip file if the song contains more than 1 part
Click "Upload"
Q: How do I know if there are new songs?
A:
Go back to the "File library"
Click "Date Uploaded" in the bar above all the songs
One time clicked this will sort the songs from oldest - newest, twice clicked it will sort them newest - oldest
Q: What songs will be played during the Band practice?
A:
The easiest way is to download all newly uploaded songs between the previous saturday and next saturday. Sometimes it might not be a song Dallo uploaded but if you want to try a song out or simply share it, do it anyway, the files aren't big and at the practice we can try out anything.
