As t' why we need this site, lemme quote from my first post there: "...although we ain't close t' runnin out o' room in th' Files Library or nothin, it's a bit awkward t' have all th' music lumped t'gether in one big long list that ain't in no way searchable."
Plus now when anyone adds stuff t' th' site, y' can just post in th' forum here an add a link direct t' th' appropriate page ;) |

tried a few hours later yesterday and it worked (with activation code)
anyway, now to fill the site with stuff.. |

hm, ive tried to have the activation code sent to my email 3 times now, it doesnt seem to work. -_-
and yes, its the correct email adress in there.
come to think of it, why did we *need* this site anyway?! |

Hoi, Breakfasters! We're about t' make some rather large changes in th' way we store an format our music files! I know some folks don't care too much about that, but I figger they're not readin this anyways ;)
First off, although we ain't close t' runnin out o' room in th' Files Library or nothin, it's a bit awkward t' have all th' music lumped t'gether in one big long list that ain't in no way searchable. So Larksong's built us a separate website fer all our Music files, not as elaborate (yet) as Songbook o' Laurelin, but followin th' same sort o' ideas.
T' get t' th' website, go t' http://breakfastmusic.proboards.com/ where ye'll need t' create a account name an password. Once yer in, it's basically set up like any other Forum, but ye'll see there's seprate threads fer solos, duets, trios, an so on. Also links t' th' Music tools we use, an a few other things as well. Also goin t' add a "Requests" thread fer if there's a song ye'd really like t' hear in Middle-earth, but no one's made a ABC file fer it yet. (Don't expect them requests t' be handled all that quick, but we'll get to 'em eventually).
Second thing is that we're makin Multi-files fer all our songs, that have all th' parts in one single file. (Songbook has a real easy way t' deal with these, don't worry). So ye'll only need one file t' play any part in any piece. That'll cut down on th' sheer number o' files y' have t' scroll thru t' find th' one y' want.
It's goin t' take a bit o' adjustin, but once everyone's all on th' same page, as it were, it'll be a whole lot better!  |
