I'm sorry that I couldn't make it this year because of a last minute request from a friend, but I'm glad to see one of our own in the winner's circle. I hope you'll pass along our congratulations to the rest of your bandmates, Scrop! Congrats as well to the Rolling Kegs, a band that proved to be one of my favourites on both a musical and an interpersonal level at last year's Shirefest. They will be joining us this year, too.

Hi all

This was my first experience of a weatherstock show/competition and what an amazing time I had. All weekend I have been dancing away with so many great people and listening to lots of excellent bands. The main event made my jaw drop when I arrived at the summit, I have never seen so many revellers in one place. The support I have had from Second Breakfast has been amazing and I felt so honoured to be able to play with the Breakfast Club on the Friday ( we were excellent ). Then to top it all off The Remidiators went and won both awards. The rest of the band thank all of you for your kind words, praise and support.

So thanks again everybody. Can't wait for Shirefest to come.

Congrats to the winners.  Besides the two server crashes from someone casting the mass heal yellow bubble on the crowd, it went well and ended only 90 minutes later than normally scheduled.

I think they said 877 were in attendance, but don't quote me on that.

As for the results, here's what I found.

Not sure what the host band voting scores were, but their results were:
Weatherstock Host Band (LMB) Winners:
3rd place...  Starlight
2nd place...  The Rolling Kegs
1st place...  The Remediators

So even though Starlight came in dead last for People's Choice, they were still able to come out with a 3rd place win by LMB votes.  The other two bands managed to win both prizes!

I think the Fraggles are going to be bowing and kneeling before the great and talented Scropolo from now on.  He's famous!!!

Congratulations to the Remediators, who won the People's Choice Award AND the LMB Cup for this year's Weatherstock! They put on an absolutely lovely performance, with well-crafted tunes and great lyrics. I was bursting my Hobbit buttons with pride to see our Scropolo on the rock, wearing his Breakfast Club name and doing a bang-up job playing music and singing a marvelous song about pies. Well done!
