February News
Greetings, fellow kinmates!
Thank you to everyone able to make it out to our kinwide meeting this past weekend. The chat log from the meeting has been posted in our member section. I also wanted to take this chance to highlight a few important upcoming events, forum threads, and website changes that you may all wish to know about.
The weekend of February 11th will bring two major SB events to the server. On Saturday the 11th we will make another glorious attempt at Chicken Immortality. Chickens and protectors alike are needed for a Crosser of Roads attempt. We'll provide a chance for our less experienced chickens to finish up their Flying the Coop quests this Saturday, the 4th.
On the 12th, Daffin will be hosting the truly one of a kind, first ever Shire Rally. This combination of scavenger hunt and road race will test the most seasoned LOTRO players, but don't fret--Daffin is offering a prize to the rider with the best excuse for getting lost. Riders and volunteers are wanted.
Fubuki is putting together a roll-call for our end-game players. Though he will mainly be organising US time zone runs, this is an opportunity for all of our end-game players to put their availability out there. EU and West Coast players will have opportunities to work within kin groups and mixed alliance groups.
Talomas suggested a kinwide attempt at a couple of the Valentine's Day oriented social titles. Receiving /flirt and /kiss will result in the special titles of the Alluring and the Beloved, respectively. Each person can receive up to 5 of each emote per day, so be sure to shoot one or two of each emote over every time you run across a kin member. We want to see Sadie the Beloved by the end of the month.
Two new member only sections have been added to this website recently, and one more will be added soon. You all received mail last month about the support tickets system. Please be sure to use this page for crafting requests, suggestions, interpersonal problems, and officer applications. A Member Art section was also added today, showcasing links to art and writing that kin members have shared. We'd love to add more items to the list.
The last new addition will be coming very soon--starting today, the officers are taking nominations for the Breakfaster of the Month. Please send a PM or in-game mail to Rosalie with the name of the member you wish to nominate and the reasons why. The officers will take a look at these stories and decide which member is most deserving of the honour. The February nominations are due by the 26th.
Thanks for reading, and we'll see in Middle-earth!

Yay! An art section. l Although you posted one of my pics under Sapph's. She likes to repost the art I made for her.
I should really update my thread.
The events sound like fun. I hope I can make it. :3

Oh yes, I know it is your art. But it is Sapph's character and makes up a significant part of her Tumblr account, so I thought it fitting to use that as the primary image rather no image at all.
I do hope you will all check out the links in the member art section if you haven't already. We truly have some talented people in this kinship. I should note that I linked a couple of my favourite Dr. Octavatoc Attoc PhD stories, and a few others can be found in the role-play section. But quite a few other members have shown their talent by writing character biographies. That section absolutely merits a visit.[/url]
