re: New Music

I added 28 songs, that run 4 to 7 parts multi, into the Files/Gallery.  I've spent a few weeks doing them, and making sure that no one else (as far as I could tell) had already done them, or done them in the same way.  There are a few that are done with less parts than others I've seen, but I only added ones that were several parts less than the song's I saw, so, from a 9 part multi to a 5 part, or something like that.  If there is a song that someone else has already done, then I'll blame it on having a different name somehow.  :)  I started with about 50, but cut the ones that didn't sound awesome in the abc player.

Obviously, I can only hear them played in the abc player now, but would like to hear them live sometime, and I'll let peeps who play with us know.  Hoping for some constructive criticism.

Abracadabra - Steve Miller Band, 5 part (I think Dulcet Tones has this in an 8 or 9 part)

A Trick of the Tail - Genesis, 6 part

Cars - Gary Numan, 5 part

Dragostea Din Tei - O-zone, 6 part  (that nooma-nooma song...)

Engel - Rammstein, 4 part  (this is one that I know Dulcet Tones has in an 8 or 9 part)

Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden, 5 part

Fly Away - Lenny Kravitz, 6 part  (the bass in this song....whoa)

Funky Town - Lipps Inc., 5 part

Games Without Frontiers - Peter Gabriel, 6 part

Harper Valley PTA - Jeannie C. Riley, 5 part

Here Comes the Rain Again - The Eurythmics, 6 part

Hocus Pocus - Focus, 5 part (or 6 with COWBELL!!)

In A Gadda Da Vida - Iron Butterfly, 6 part (a shortened 6:15 version, but tell everyone that it's the full 17)

I Think I Love You - The Partridge Family/David Cassidy, 6 part

Jailbreak - Thin Lizzy, 5 part

Love is a Battlefield - Pat Benatar, 5 part

Love Rollercoaster - Ohio Players, 5 part

Magic - Olivia Newton John, 6 part  (a very haunting song)

No. 1 Crush - Garbage, 6 part  (that bass line...)

Photograph - Def Leppard, 4 part  (from my high school days)

Pure Energy (What's On Your Mind) - Information Society, 4 part  (more bass!)

Queen of Hearts - Juice Newton, 5 part  (another one that I saw, but had 8 or 9 parts)

Symphonie fantastique: Épisode de la vie d'un artiste ... en cinq parties (Fantastical Symphony: An Episode in the Life of an Artist, in Five Parts) OP. 14, 5th Movement

"Songe d'une nuit du sabbat" (Dream of the Night of the Sabbath) - Hector Berlioz, 7 parts, and very long, but awesome for Halloween season.

(contains the "Dies Irae", Day of Wrath, a very haunting Latin/Gregorian hymn...I used the Misty Mountain Harp for the Church Bells)

And a special shout out to Master Tolpo, who found me the Midi!

Turn It On Again - Genesis, 4 part

Turn Me Loose - Loverboy, 6 part  (another one that had 9 parts)

Virtual Insanity - Jamiroquai, 5 part

Walking On The Sun - Smash Mouth, 7 part

Wand'rin' Star - Lee Marvin, 7 part  (saw that Dulcet Tones had this but wanted the extra horn for Marvin's reeeeealy low voice)

re: New Music

Uploaded Patch 2.2

Fixed:

Removed Engel, could not fix volume problem yet, if I do in the future, I'll re-add it.  Removed FunkyTown, just sounded borked when played live.  Changed name "Kelly's Heroes" to "BurningBridges".  Fixed instrument numbering on Inna Godda Da Vida so that horns 1-3 are numbered separately.

Added the following 34 songs:

Lady - Styx (7 part)

Bodhisattva - Steely Dan (6 part)

You Keep Me Hanging On - The Supremes (5-6 part)

You Should Be Dancin' - Bee Gees (6 part)

Baby One More Time - Brittany Spears ( 5 part)

Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden (5 part)

Crazy - Seal (5part) turned out awesome

Do Ya Think I'm Sexy - Rod Stewart (5 part)

Feels Like The First Time - Foreigner (5 part)

Hair - The Cowsills (5 part)

In The End - Linkin Park (5 part)

Not Your Stepping Stone - The Monkees (5 part)

Roar - Katy Perry (5 part)

Save a Prayer - Duran Duran (5 part)

Time of the Season - The Zombies (5 part)

Toxic - Brittany Spears (5 part)

A Little Respect - Erasure (4 part)

Barbie Girl - Aqua (4 part)

Freedom - George Michael(4part)

Green Eyed Lady - Sugarloaf (4 part) that bass...

Hot n Cold - Katy Perry (4 part)

Hungry Like a Wolf - Duran Duran (4 part)

Kings and Queens - Aerosmith (4 part)

Learn To Fly - Foo Fighters (4part)

Mrs Robinson - Simon & Garfunkel (4part)

No Excuses - Alice in Chains (4 part)

One Thing Lead to Another - The Fixx (4 part)

Pleasant Valley Sunday - The Monkees (4part)

Roxanne - The Police (4 part)

Strange Brew - Cream (4 part)

Stupid Girl - Garbage (4 part)

Tell Me Something Good - Chaka Kahn (4 part)  That bass be so funky

The Passenger - Iggy Pop (4 part)

Your Woman - White Town (4 part)

Working on:

Had my BFF transcribe into notation the vocals for Dead Souls by NIN, because the only midi I could find did not have vocal part.  Will use Anvil to add the line, and if it works nicely, will get her to do a few more songs for me that do not have the vocal parts.

Oh!  I have to go find a group to try "The Passenger" - loved that song on the Batman movie.

The Michael Hutchence version, I like that one too, all slow and gothy.  The one I have is the more raw punk version, one day I'll get the other one to hopefully.  I also liked the Souxie and the Banshee's version.  :)
