Greetings, I am Rizzalicious!
Greetings fellow breakfasteers, breakfasters, breakfastonians, or whatever you would call us. I am Rizzano, but my character in game is Rizzalicious, a minstrel healer.
I am in my mid-40's, a gamer all my life, started with the Radio Shack TRS-80 back in the day. My very first game was Pooyan, a game you had to load on a cassette machine. You were a pig in a basket on the right side of the screen and you could move up and down. Middle and Left side of the screen, there was a platform on top that wolves would walk out on, then they would drop down with balloons and float to the ground. Your goal was to use your trusty bow and arrow and shoot the balloons so the wolves fell to their death.
My first console game was Atari 2800 - Pitfall. Never beat it. My first handheld was the original game boy with Tetris. I played the hell out of that game. My first multiplayer game that I can remember was Worms: Armageddon. I own a steam copy of it and still play from time to time.
I never played Everquest or Star Wars: Galaxies. My first MMO was, technically, Diablo II, although you were very limited on the amount of players you could have in a session, so I don't know that D2 qualifies as an MMO, but my first MMORPG was World of Warcraft. I started in The Burning Crusade as an undead priest. Even way back then I felt a call to be a healer.
I played WoW for several years, and my favorite expansion was Wrath of the Lich King. After my guild beat Icecrown, I stopped for a bit. Then when Cataclysm came out, I went back and started a new character since the world changed to where a lot of the starting zones were "wrecked" and there were new quests. After every expansion since Wrath, I took a break after the raids, and waited for the next expansion. I have not played Shadowlands yet but it's on my to-do list at some point.
Back when I was playing Wrath, my wife had been watching me play from time to time and one day she said "Honey, I am going to do something for you that will make a dream of yours come true." I said, "Ooohh, be with a woman in front of me?" "No," she laughed. "Play WoW with you." She is more addicted to WoW now than I ever was and loves PVP Battles and loves to smack talk the alliance (we play horde.)
Over the course of the years, I played many a MMO. I beta tested Runes of Magic and Rift, I played Star Wars: The Old Republic, Final Fantasy XIV (beta tested that too before it was A Realm Reborn and hated it, like many others.) I've played Archeage, Black Desert Online, DC Universe, the only MMO's to hold my attention longer than a few months are WoW, SW:TOR, FFXIV, and City of Heroes/Villains. And of course, LOTRO.
I played LOTOR back when it first came out, when it was pay to play. I eventually got to the first expansion and at the time couldn't afford to get it or keep paying my membership, so I stopped. Since then, I don't have access to the old email that account is on, so I started a new account. I am level 9 as of this posting, and plan to do what I can when I can to help others. I live in MST, Denver to be exact, but usually play all hours of the day and sometimes, when I can't sleep, at night too.
More of my gaming history - I have run a few guilds. MY wife and I have our own guild in WoW called Hunger Game of Thrones. I have run a guild for SW:TOR called Death Sentence. We kept it light but still did raids. I published a weekly newsletter that I still have copies of to this day in google documents. I have been mostly a PC gamer all my life, but have owned every console from Atari to PS4 - except I have never owned one single verison of XBOX< and don't plan on starting now. I have also owned every handheld at one time or another, and recently I bought a linux gaming console that has every emulator from Intellivision up to PS1. I own a strong gaming rig, so I also have a PS2, PS3, and GameCube emulator on my PC. I don't plan on getting a PS5 until a couple of years.
A little more about me - I am an admin of a PVE Survival Gaming community called HotB gaming. We have several survival servers for survival games like 7 Days to Die, Ark, Conan Exiles, Empyrion, Miscreated, a new Viking game called Valheim, and Rust. I used to design web sites for a living, and I made www.hotb-gaming.com for our community. It's a basic site. I also love wrestling - not doing, but watching. I have been a wrestling fan since 1987, wrestlemania 3. I went to a house show as a kid with my friend and his dad, and once King Kong Bundy was walking through the halls, and I said Hi and in true heel fashion he told me to fuck off. I have been to several shows throughout the years, Raw, Smackdown, Judgment Day 2000, TNA Bound For Glory, and Wrestlemania 28. Once the world goes back to normal (IF that ever happens) I hope to go to an AEW show at some point. I do not game on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday Nights when wrestling is on. And sometimes Saturday and Sunday when there are Pay Per Views.
I also play Magic: The Gathering, have played since 4th Edition. I play physical M:TG IRL and also Arena and Online. I own several decks and a few thousand cards, no where near the collection I used to have back in the day.
I also am learning to play piano. I JUST today got a musical keyboard and learned the intro to Motley Crue Home Sweet Home. I used to play when I was a kid in school, but that was decades ago. I also own a guitar but barely touch it.
I am in college to be an early childhood education teacher. Almost done with my Associates, then I am moving on to my bachelors. I plan on teaching online. My wife right now is the bread winner, she makes $2,155 every two weeks (take home) and has way higher learning potential than I do, So we have a deal, she earns the income, I cook, clean, do school, take our daughter to appointments, handle the grocery shopping, etc. I do have Disability coming in, long story on that, but once I have a teaching job I am getting off of that.
I am a huge movie and tv buff. My fave movies are Armageddon, The Ocean's Trilogy, the 2 new Jumanji's, The Rundown, and of course, the LOTR and Hobbit movies. My fave tv shows are Sons of Anarchy, Impractical Jokers, Whose Line is it Anyway, Ozark, Lucifer, Ridiculousness, The Good Doctor, Prodigal Son, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, True Blood, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead. I just recently finished reading all of the Walking Dead Graphic Novels (I own all of the compendiums.) I like comics and graphic novels and am thinking about watching Preacher and then getting the graphic novels.
I also listen to music every day. My fave bands are Metallica, Bloodhound Gang, Disturbed, Eminem, Green Day, and Weird Al, in that order. I saw Metallica back in 2000 at the Summer Sanitarium Tour, along with System of a Down and Powerman 5000 (before they were popular) and Kid Rock and Korn.
I also love to read, and have read the Hollows series by Kim Harrison, Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K Hamilton, and the Southern Vampire Mysteries (the true blood books.) I have also at one time or another read the LOTR books, as well as many Star Wars books that are no longer canon.
Well, I guess that's it for me and my post. I know it's long, but I figure, if someone wants to learn anything about the most Rizzalicious member in Second Breakfast, here it is for all the world to see.
Last thing - I love being social. I love discord, FB messenger, I love chatting in game, I will talk about anything except politics or religion. I also love helping people, IRL and in gaming, so once I get up there in levels, if you ever find yourself in need of a healer, I'm your bro!
Yay! Another Metalhead! \m/ O.o \m/
If you stop by Bree during Bread & Jam on a Friday night, there's a fair to good chance I might be able to play a request from the bands you like. An excellent to great chance altogether considering all the other bands that can play Metal as well. 80's and 90's Metal is my band's prime nitch, followed by 70's Rock and Motown, and then a dash of just about everything else.
Ooh! True Blood! <3 Eric. :P I have 4 bottles of "True Blood" in the shelf in my kitchen. "Sssssssssookieeee."
I actually own a copy of Preacher #1 through #20 of the OG comics. Not a huuuge comic fan, but randomly collected weird stuff like that.
NOT gonna hijack your thread! Welcome to Second Breakfast!!! Hope you enjoy the company, the parties, the music, and groupings!!
