Vikarr from Vilya
Thank you for welcoming me to the kin. My Lotro background started out in Feb. 2008 on Vilya with the casual kin Southern Comfort as a Guardian named Vikarr. I went on to be an officer and eventually the kin leader. (That's a story for another time!) Back then I loved to raid and was always willing to run anything such as CD, URU or the Rift. As we moved into Moria I had to switch to my healer Vikarrian (Elf) and we were able to do get the Grand Stairs down and every other raid EXCEPT The Watcher. The more I raided the more I wanted to raid and at that time the #1 raiding kin on Vilya was Forged by Fire. When the original Kin leader of Southern Comfort came back I handed the leadership to him and went to Forged by Fire to prove my self. I went from running the lower tier raids then running the current raids then to being on the cutting edge team that figured out the new raids. We missed a world's first by three minutes on one of the raids! Although I now knew I could raid with anyone BUT I had lost the love of the game that I had when I started. When any new content comes out you don't get to enjoy it, you have to plow through it as quick as possible to get to the newest raid. So when Rohan came out and I was having to push again through new content, hating mounted combat and SWTOR came out I left Lotro and started playing SWTOR. After five years of being gone from the game I decided to come back to Lotro but found out that during that time my account had been hacked and stolen. Working with Turbine I managed to get it back which was great as it is a lifetime account. After moving all my characters to Arkenstone I played for about a year solo but I missed the interactions of being in a kin and found the kin Kindred Spirits. After going from member to officer to garrison commander over the years the leader decided to shut down the kin. I had played on Crickhollow for a short while when Ark was down and really enjoyed the difference in World chat and the community as a whole. Reminded me of my early days on Vilya so here I am. So far I am enjoying my time with you all and hope to be able to help as I can along the way!
I have 13 characters on ARK at 130 all with fully upgraded LI's, all crafting professions fully guilded so I am use to fending for myself. So having to depend on the generosity of this guild with my first character here is something I haven't had to do in a very long time.
Can't wait to get to know you all better!
Oh wow! Didn't realize I was running with a seasoned veteran today in the Mirror Halls! Welcome to the kin! I hope you will enjoy the slower pace of Crickhollow and stop and smell the roses with us Second Breakfasters. :D
Also looking forward to your end-game knowledge, wise one! *bows respectfully*

Jofurbarth Welcome to the Kin! I look forward to getting to know you!
I haven't done end-game in a while. During my raiding time I unfortunately spent more time in Lotro than I did with my family so now you will see me in game but I will go AFK at the drop of a hat. Sometimes I spend more time AFK than acutally doing anything. :)
I have enjoyed my time here so far and think there are some really good folks in this kin!
Welcome, Jofurbarth.
A lot of us go AFK so don't worry about it.
Oh, and be sure to stop by Bread and Jam on Friday nights at the Prancing Pony Stables. Founded by Second Breakfast, it is a Round Robin musical event, that officially begins at 9pm/servertime, but often begins much earlier, and goes on for hours. It's a lot of fun, and a great way to unwind from questing/raiding .
Do you have your dances? If not, be sure to pick them up during Midsummer Festival, so you can dance at Bread and Jam and other musical events with us.
Do you play any instruments? If not, our minstrels can train you, if you like. It is fun to play music with friends and kin.
These are some ideas to consider besides the usual round of fighting and crafting. And music is a big part of second breakfast. We have several weekly musical events, and host a couple of bigger musical events annually. This is in addition to doing the usual round of quests, raids, RT hunts, etc. It is a more well balanced life than just doing one thing constantly. It is a very different life than on Vilya. I hope that you learn to love it.
Again, Welcome to the kin.
