Fair Morn to All
Good Morn, I am Agrenost.
Or rather, that is my ingame name. You may call me James outside of the game. I first played LotRO in 2012 or 2013, I forget the year, but it prevailed mounted combat in LotRO while Turbine was still supporting the game. I want to say I was on Bree or Brandywine at the time. I've always enjoyed anything Tolkien related, and regularly revisit the books. I'll admit, I prefer the books over the movie series, but I'll also readily admit: The movies are as close as to the books as I've ere seen in Hollywood, not including the mess that was the Hobbit trilogy. Now, back to the game. I played for about a year before moving on, but I've ne'er forgot the time I spent in LotRO, and it was truly the last MMO I enjoyed. I've roleplayed across multiple html sites in the years concurrent or since, but never on LotRO. I'm hoping my second coming, with Second Breakfast, will reignite the roleplay flame I enjoyed from the mid aughts to the mid 2010s. As to who I am in real life, I am a male in my thirty-sixth year, currently living in Texas, that's lived across the USA, from sea to shining sea. I am anachronistic at times, while also trying to keep up with the modern slang and lifestyle. I enjoy a good glass of wine or whiskey, a full pipe (tobacco of course), and deep, meaningful conversation with like minds. I'm new to Second Breakfast, only recently accepted to the guild, as I try to find my way in the MMO world yet again, looking for a family to call home. I hope to get to know you all, as time passes us all.
PS:
If you'd like to know more, just ask. I'm most readily available on Discord: Renville#2424
Well met, Agrenost. And welcome to Second Breakfast!
Our roleplaying here has been sporadic, as a group, but there are a few of us who enjoy doing it casually when we can. We have a group of hobbits called the Appledumplings, who have had multiple semi-scripted roleplaying events over the years. We used to have a dwarven meet-up years ago. Always hoping that one more person's interest might spark something new!
Otherwise, we're like most average-sized kinships, in that we come from everywhere, are varied in ages and careers, yet all have a love for Tolkien, or at least LOTR, or at least LOTRO, or maybe just hanging out with friends who like those things.
Welcome to your second time through, where a whole lot has changed! Don't hesitate to ask about anything confusing, we're rather friendly.
I am most readily available on Discord, via Renville#2424, otherwise I'll do my best to check here on the daily. I have a lot to catch up on. I'm mostly interested in crafting and questing, as when I was last active, the cap level limit was 70s I think? So I have a lot to catch up on...I'm free to play for now, but may do VIP when I can free the income for it.
Welcome aboard! Looking forward to meeting you in game!

Welcome to Second Breakfast!! :) absolutely join us on discord when you get the chance as we are most active there!
That was my hope, and I am thankful for that. Once upon a time, forums were all we had to communicate, it was like communicating via email back in the day, and folks would lurk for replies. Now we have Discord! I am still hoping I will get to join a kin event sometime soon and get to know folks better. My schedule makes it tough to do so in the latter part of the week.
