If you don'#t mind using lyrics from Lina Willowwood, then Bullroarer Took is excellent:
#Through the woodland, through the valley, comes a hobbit wild and free
#Smiling at the lasses giggling, who can the brave young hobbit be
#He is strong and he is sturdy, leaping over stone and brook
#He is tall and he is handsome, he is named Bullroarer Took
#Carrying a sturdy club, he rides a full-size horse into the fields
#Son of Thain Isumbras Three, his shout is strong enough to make yer shake
#Yer feel the Greenfields quake
#Rumours say that war is coming, rumours say the wolves are near
#Rumours tell of nasty goblins, bringing naught but senseless fear
#He has come ter fight the goblins, he has come ter save us all
#Let us gather on the fields, and let us heed his battle call
#Find yer weapon in the shed and hug yer wife and children tight
#See the northern hobbits muster, ready for a fearsome fight
#Carrying a sturdy club, he rides a full-size horse into the fields
#Son of Thain Isumbras Three, his shout is strong enough to make yer shake
#Yer feel the Greenfields quake
#See the fields all dark at night and listen ter the distant sound
#Hear the ugly shrieks of war and feel the pounding in the ground
#Wait until the misty morning, dire though the day may look
#There is one who brings yer courage, he is named Bullroarer Took
#See the goblins run toward yer, see the wolves with gaping jaws
#Stand up straight beside yer kinsmen, fight the goblins without pause
#Feel the tide of battle turning, victory is almost near
#In the end yer chase yer foes and save the ones that yer hold dear
#Carrying a sturdy club, he rode a full-size horse into the fields
#Son of Thain Isumbras Three, his shout was strong enough to make yer shake
#He rode his horse into the fray, he smashed his club into the goblin king
#The songs that we will sing
#For him we will sing
#Through the woodland, through the valley, comes a hobbit wild and free
#Smiling at the lasses giggling, who can the brave young hobbit be
#He is strong and he is sturdy, leaping over stone and brook

The Irish Ballad is a nice, bloodthirsty one:
#About a maid I’ll sing a song,
#Sing rickety-tickety-tin,
#About a maid I’ll sing a song
#Who didn’t have her family long.
#Not only did she do them wrong,
#She did ev’ryone of them in, them in,
#She did ev’ryone of them in.
#One morning in a fit of pique,
#Sing rickety-tickety-tin,
#One morning in a fit of pique,
#She drowned her father in the creek.
#The water tasted bad for a week,
#And we had to make do with gin, with gin,
#We had to make do with gin.
#Her mother she could never stand,
#Sing rickety-tickety-tin,
#Her mother she could never stand,
#And so a cyanide soup she planned.
#The mother died with a spoon in her hand,
#And her face in a hideous grin, a grin,
#Her face in a hideous grin.
#She set her sister’s hair on fire,
#Sing rickety-tickety-tin,
#She set her sister’s hair on fire,
#And as the smoke and flame rose higher,
#Danced around the funeral pyre,
#Playin’ a violin, -olin,
#Playin’ a violin.
#She weighed her brother down with stones,
#Rickety-tickety-tin,
#She weighed her brother down with stones,
#And sent him off to Davy Jones.
#All they ever found were some bones,
#And occasional pieces of skin, of skin,
#Occasional pieces of skin.
#One day when she had nothing to do,
#Sing rickety-tickety-tin,
#One day when she had nothing to do,
#She cut her baby brother in two,
#And served him up as an irish stew,
#And invited the neighbours in, -bours in,
#Invited the neighbours in.
#And when at last the police came by,
#Sing rickety-tickety-tin,
#And when at last the police came by,
#Her little pranks she did not deny,
#To do so she would have had to lie,
#And lying, she knew, was a sin, a sin,
#Lying, she knew, was a sin.
#My tragic tale, I won’t prolong,
#Rickety-tickety-tin,
#My tragic tale I won’t prolong,
#And if you do not enjoy the song,
#You’ve yourselves to blame if it’s too long,
#You should never have let me begin, begin,
#You should never have let me begin.

Oi! I'd been thinkin o' workin up a version o' Rickity Tickity Tin, but hadn't got to it yet. But mebbe it ought t' be tweaked a bit, somehow, t' make it a bit more relevant. Hmm.... have t' consider this....
Oh, but while I'm here; there ain't any hard an fast rules 'bout it, but it might be better t' post up music-related items on th' Breakfast Music site. I dunno, mebbe folks that ain't in th' band still read these posts here, but I can't think why they should... I s'pose it's yer call, but we're tryin t' have everythin repertoire-related all in th' same place, so lyrics'll end up there eventually anyways. But if yer wantin t' share this stuff with th' Kinship at large (them as reads th' Forums, anyway) y' might be better off NOT postin in what I s'pect is a fairly limited-readership thread.

Just a update, (o' sorts) on th' Knights o' th' White Lady Halloween Party that we're s'posed t' play at on Saturday.
Thing is, after that first email I ain't heard nothin at all from Toot; so I dunno fer certain if th' thing is still on or not. There's nothin posted on th' Landroval Forum, an Blondel says that Keli'd had th' same experience: bein asked t' come play, an then hearin nothin aterwards. I've sent him a message by post over in Landroval, but if I ain't heard back by Saturday mornin, I'm goin t' call it off.

Oh aye, agree with that. Just posted those in relation to the Gladden concert post.

All righty, I s'pose I jumped in a bit too soon on makin a new Kinship in Gladden; fergot all about that rule that says if y' have less than 8 members fer 5 consecutive days, yer Kinship's dissolved. An that's what it looks like will happen t' Second Breakfast Club over there. But no big loss; I'd like t' encourage folks t' START a character on Gladden an get 'em thru th' Intro by NEXT Saturday: th' 3rd o' November. Then we can all go over there after (or even durin) Band Practice, an get us all into th' Kinship.
Now some may be wonderin, why even bother with a Kinship, since we're only goin t' be there fer one bit o' hoop-la, an it's a reasonable question. Best answer I got is just that this way it'll be easier t' talk t' each other without havin t' find everyone an get us all into a raid b'fore we can even chat, an y' won't have t' be scannin yer Friends list all th' time. So that's why. ;)

Ah! Glad I looked; this is what we was s'posed t' go an play fer this afternoon, but I finally got some replies from Toot, KotWL's Bandleader. Didn't get a chance t' go t' Landy an read 'em til this mornin, but th' upshot is that they d'cided t' call it off, in th' face o' RoR...
Got that word sent on th' 25th, so I' figger it supersedes what was posted in th' FPP. Hope a lot o' folks DON'T show up now an find out there's nothin goin on

Don't have a actual date yet, but do have a time frame. When I first contacted Dahd, I mentioned that we could, if he so wished, delay a bit til December an play a more Yule-themed set, an it seems that's what he's intrested in. So I proposed either o' th' 2 middle weekends o' December, an am waitin fer him t' narrow that down. If anybody's got a conflict with them possibilities, Let me know soon as y' can
Might manage t' kill 2 birds with one stone this way, an use this asa set (or at least th' core o' one) fer our own Winter Concert. We just got done with Halloween, but there's Hrivelinta comin up again pretty soon, an we need t' start plannin fer it. (or some other Yule/Winter festivity)
(Fer them as don't know, "Hrivelinta" is semi-Sindarin fer "Winter Dance")

Uhm, with anything before Christmas I'm fine... But what do you mean with the 2 middle weekends? If you mean the weekend right before Christmas itself (22nd and 23rd) then that could be a problem for some people.
In the time from Christmas - New Years I can't be available as well as Taumel.

Hmm... guess I wasn't too clear. No, I meant th' 8th, 9th, 15th or 16th. Wouldn't want to get any closer to th' actual Holiday than that.
Sorry t' hear ye'll not be around b'tween Christmas an New Year; I have that whole week off, but nowhere t' go, really, so I'll be in Middle-earth a lot that week. Hope y' have a good time, whatever it is yer doin ;)
