Got any ale?

Well, we are th' first band registered fer Weatherstock this year! Now I'd really like t' have at least 7 members over there fer th' Event, so we can play th' Largo, along with sevral other pieces, in our set.
We have a 15-minute limit in th' contest. As o' now, I'm thinkin what we could play from our current repertoire, an th' followin possible sets occur t' me:
Red Is Th' Rose [3:09]
Time Warp* [3:22]
Largo [8:27]
Total time [14:58]
OR
Miss Noble [1:36]
Bright Side [3:28]
Largo [8:27]
Total time [13:31]
OR
Rondo [2:10]
Miss Noble [1:36]
Largo [8:27]
Total time [12:13]
More than happy t' hear other suggestions, but I do want t' keep it t' things one o' us has produced, so we don't go in there playin th' same arrangement as some other band. So far, that's been mostly my stuff, an Buddy's got a few as well, but there's near two months til th' festival, so there's time fer anyone that's intrested t' make somethin. I'll be lookin fer some more lore-appropriate things t' work on m'self; somewhat sheepish t' note that nearly everythin I've done has been more "modern"
Although we could also do my settin o' "Th' Road Goes Ever On" [2:25]. That might be appropriate.
ANYWAYS, I think it'd be a good idea fer folks t' get their characters started in Landy as soon as possible, specially t'day (if yer readin this post in time) on account o' th' double XP. I'm amazed t' find out that there's a Dallofin in Landroval too, who looks near exactly like th' one in Crickhollow, 'cept he's a Minstrel... ;)
Edit: Went an put a asterisk by Timewarp, an then fergot t' add th' note...
Timewarp is a 9-part piece as written, but if we decide t' do it, th' Harp part is really small (only a few chords in one verse) so could be dropped an no one would notice; an I could combine th' 2 Horn parts, an then we'd have a 7-part piece. Just in case anyone's wonderin.

I should note that we do have a "Breakfast Club" kinship set up on Landroval from last year's event, so it may be good to get any new characters into that kin. We may want to arrange a few kin leveling expeditions over there as well, similar to our Withywindle TP farming group. The Weatherstock organisers will provide safe transit to the summit for under-leveled characters, but it will be good to level up a few minstrels to 20 for the full range of instruments.

Spent all day t'day gettin DaffinII up t' level 20, so I can get a horse o' m' own fer th' last 5 levels, so I'll be 25 (Minstrel) an can play th' pipes. That way no one'll have t' teach me nothin. I gather they try t' have a lot o' Minstrels available fer that function, but why count on it?
I was figgerin that there might be a Kin over there already; who are th' officers, an how (or rather when) should we try t' make contact?

Even if someone teaches you bagpipes, you can't play them until level 25, so mentoring a minstrel is a waste of time anyway ;)
If you only need one pipes player then the other minstrels only need to get up to 15. That goes pretty quickly.
I wish you good luck at Weatherstock! Saturdays, especially 3rd Saturdays, are impossible for me to attend events.

Diamond of Elendilmir, Diamiond of Landroval, and Diamiond of Crickhollow. Band leader for Eriador Music Society (EMS).
well, if we go with one o' th' set lists above, we won't need more'n one piper, so that's all right ;)
Still would like t' hear any other suggestions about what we ought t' play, assumin anyone's got some ;)

Just a late-night thought but perhaps we can arrange a jaunt over to Landroval after band practice for those of us who have already rolled an alt there so we can be added to the Breakfast Club kin. I created Larkfeather (assumed I couldn't reuse Larksong) and will let her accumulate some rest xp in between levels to make it quicker. Maybe we can even do a little questing or TP farming to sweeten the deal.

Actually, names can be re-used on diffrent servers (assumin no one else has th' name already). Dallofin seems t' be a not-very-popular name, fer reasons that entirely escape me, so I was able t' re-use th' name on Landy, but only did it really on account o' I have that name on all th' music files, an figgered there's a tiny chance someone might look there an see th' connection. Long as we know who's who, it ain't too important.
If Rosie's there at practice (or someone else that's in th' Landy kin) then I'd say that's a good idea. Buddy allowed as how he'd boost me in th' next time we was both available, but that ain't occurred yet.

I must say, to be honest, last time I was at Weatherstock I needed to turn down all graphics and uncheck unnecessary options.. Still I got lag during the whole event, the things I saw and the sounds didn't match by far. Besides that my PC isn't the "healthiest" one anymore and I worry about that it might be too much to handle.
I would like to be there but I don't want anything to go wrong and then the whole concert is ruined for the band :/

Well it'd be a hard thing if Scocha ain't playin with us, but I certainly understand yer concerns. Near as I know, if yer playin music an then th' lag hits ye, it only affects yer own hearin o' th' song; th' music itself is playin on th' Game server, not on yer PC. But th' issue o' whether y' might overload yer graphics card or whatever an actually fry some wirin or scramble some software is a lot more serious. (Got t' admit, I ain't any kind o' computer whizz, so I dunno fer sure whether that's even possible...)
Do hope ye'll be there if only t' watch; we'll see in th' next couple o' weeks how many are plannin t' go, an figger out part assignments an all when we have a better idea o' our personnel.

Unfortunately I won't be around this Saturday, but I can try and arrange a time to meet Daffin or anyone else on Landy either tonight or tomorrow. Ciridryt is my character in the kin, but I am growing young Rosalei to play with the band. If we can get Daffin in before Saturday I'll pass the kin leadership over to him.
