Th' Ingolemos (an I'm 90% certain that it's one person, 6-boxin) have a lot o' nice arrangements, but I was a bit disappointed that they all come from pop radio... No Jigs or Reels, No classical, no Big Band. Good, but sort o' one-dimesional. Nice sort o' retrospective o' th' 80s an 90s, with some clever lyrics.
I don't think they are actually competin. They're th' last Band on th' schedule, an my guess is that they're goin t' play fer th' Dance Contests. At least, Keli told me that Landy bands were not bein allowed t' compete, t' avoid any charges o' preference in case they won.

Heads up about this weekend: Practice'll happen at noon, like usual, but we'll be meetin on Weathertop again. Goin t' run thru th' whole set once, so's everyone can hear m' new lyrics fer Bright Side (^^) an we'll finalize th' part assignments, if adjustments turn out t' be necessary.
THEN, we need t' practice just goin from one song t' th' next a bunch o' times, t' make that process as smooth an quick as possible. It won't be very excitin, but it'll help our presentation enormously.
There's a gatherin at th' Forsaken Inn at 3, fer them that waqnt's t' ride t' th' top, an I also got info on how t' get ported, fer tham that don't want t' make th' trek
We MAY need t' pick another tune fer our Encore, too. Got a message this mornin from Keli sayin they'd only just noticed that another band ALSO had Time Warp on their playlist, an she wanted t' know if we might have a alternate tune t' play. (She also said she'd mailed th' other Band about it, too)
I replied that I'm sure we could come up with somethin if necessary, but asked her t' check which o' us had turned in our playlists first. If they did, then I figger we ought t' find a diffrent song, but if we did, then I don't see why we shouldn't get t' be th' ones playin it.
Ain't heard back from her yet, but if anyone's got suggestions fer a alternate, I'll certainly take e'm under advisement.
We're almost there, folks!!

I haven't found anyone to teach me drums yet, but Shepherdessa is now 25 and can play bagpipes (i got a guy to mentor me when i just made her).
Also, I have it confirmed I'm working from 6PM server time, so I have to leave before 5:30 which would mean I can come and play (and stick around for a bit) if we're first and star on time. But don't count on me for anything after 5:15 PM server time.

Glad t' know Shep can be there, Hybris We're sceduled fer 4:s0, so we should be good, even if it starts a bit late. Kanaru just mailed me t'day that his Gram is till in hospital an he don't know fer certain whether ye'll be there or not, but if he can make th' Concert, he said he'll also make th' rehearsal, so we'll know then.
Bugo, as I ai n't heard any o' them pieces, I dunno which ones I migh pick, but I'm figgerin on doin what we got planned anyways, with th' possible exception o' Time Warp, as noted above.
But go ahead an load up them songs, we need more trios an whatnot fer Elevenses an such

Floradine posted the schedule for Weatherstock as follows:
Weatherstock IV Schedule
Note: All times given are Landroval servertime which is EDT timezone.
You can use the /servertime command on Landroval to see what's the time on the server
and calculate the time difference to your local time.
Weatherstock opening:
We gather at about 15:00 at the Forsaken Inn and start a procession to Weathertop at 15:30.
Opening ceremonies begin at 16:00
Weatherstock Music competition:
The event is one large competition with 10 bands attending.
Every band has a timeslot of 20 minutes for their gig.
The first band in the competition will start to play at 16:20
There are three different prizes/categories in the competition:
1. A Light In The Dark prize
Visitors can get hope tokens from our vendor team members.
Every visitor will get three tokens so you have three votes all in all.
After each gig our host Harperella will ask the audience to pop a token
if they liked the band and want it to win the Light In The Dark prize.
The votes are counted by our specialized team.
2. Battle Of The Bands
The nine remaining bands spread out on the outer ring of the venue
and have 20 minutes playtime in which the audience can vote for the
winner of this "battle" by standing with "their" band.
Note: The winner of the Light In The Dark prize is allowed to play in the middle
of the venue but is out of this competition.
3. Lonely Mountain Cup
This prize is given by The Lonely Mountain Band kinship.
Closing Ceremonies:
After the competition our host will award the prizes to the winning bands.

http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info604-ZoltonsMusicMegaPack.html This pack has some nice multiparts with length already listed. Maybe we can find something there.
As for switching the songs fast enough, I recommend making a copy of the songs we're playing in a separate folder, so there are only those 4 songs to search trough. I know that's what I'll do once we're 100% on what we're playing.

Excellent advice, Hybris; aye, we should all have a folder fer just th' Competition Set.
Here's some General info about gettin t' Weathertop, an what channels t' use fer what while we're there:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are options for getting to Weathertop:
•The procession
•Hunter ports
•Captain summons
Our Security team is in charge of this and they will have a public chat channel - /lff. Shout here for ports/summons.
Andeon is in charge so you could try a /tell and tell him you are competing band members.
FYI, the full list of channels are:
/regional - The "microphone" channel for the stage (use this one if you have lyrics or want to chat to the audience)
/weatherstock - Weatherstock public chat channel.
/weatherstock-de - German Weatherstock public chat channel
/weatherstock-fr - French Weatherstock public chat channel
/weatherstock-sn - Sindarin Weatherstock public chat channel (I'm curious if any elven players will make the attempt...)
/lff - Security team public channel
/advice - FOZ public channel (for technical issues)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As y' can see, bands with lyrics (includin ours) will be broadcastin 'em over th' Regional Channel, so y' might want t' pull off a extra tab fer that that'll only have Regional in it, so' y' can hear th' Bands without a lot o' other interruptions. 'Course, havin Regional in a diffrent color in yer main chat window sort o' accomplishes th' same thing, but if there's a lot o' chatter, stuff can move out o' th' window pretty fast...
Some new infermation fer me in Taenzel's post. 20 minutes was a bit longer than I figgered th' Battle at th' End would run, but I think we can still pretty much wing it, just keep watchin our own raid chat while we're playin, an we'll set up th' next song as play.
IMPORTANT!! Durin our set, NO TALKING WHILE PLAYING, we don't want anyone t' accidentally drop out o' Music mode. AFTER WE START PLAYIN DO NOT STOP UNLESS I TELL YE TO. If y' think we made a error, well, mebbe we did, but it's my job t' decide whether t' go back an re-start, or just run with it th' way it is.
I dunno if th' limit o' 3 Hope Tokens per person is a good thing fer us or not... Bein first, folks may want t' hoard their tokens fer bands comin up.. on th' other hand, if we're really good (an we will be ^^) then we'll get tokens that won't be available fer our competition later in th' evenin... double-bladed axe, this is.
I'll have t' find out whether th' performin bands also get tokens. If we do, I encourage ye t' use 'em when y' feel they're deserved. We want t' win, but not by bein stingy with our appreciation fer a good performance

Well, I'm a bit disappointed in th' management... Keli got back t' me about th' duplicate playin o' Time Warp, but not with th' infermation I'd requested. She said they'd decided t' leave it up t' th' Bands: Meanin us an RKO. So I dunno who submitted their list first. Seems they play more than a hour after us, so it won't be like folks hearin th' same song twice in a row. An I know th' arrangement I made is a good one, even went back an tweaked it some last week t' make it even better. So I figger we'll go ahead with it (assumin, o' course, that we're allowed a encore). An if they d'cide t' play it too, well, I don't think their version's goin t' be any better than ours, an they'll be th' ones repeatin our number, not th' other way around.

yeah i was also thinkin that bein the first might be problematic for the light in the dark prize..
as for timewarp, either we do it like you said, or, mabye a more diplomatic solution; you, rko´s leader and one of the lmb get together in a group and you /roll for it?^^ either way, i honestly dont think one hour apart is a prob for one and the same song..not with all the other songs in between at least.
and after all, we will be the ones who played it first right? ; )

I am on nobody´s side, because nobody is on my side.
The newest version of songbook if people don't have it yet has slots for you make shortcuts for instruments. You'll still need to have them in your inventory but man that makes switching so much easier and faster.
