Two New Items
I have added a couple of events to the calendar:
Breakfast in Bree~
If you really enjoy playing music or want to learn how to begin, Larksong will be hosting Bread and Jam Sessions in the Prancing Pony beginning this Friday from 7-8:30 PM server time (EST). Share your new or favorite tunes, have an ale or two, kick up your heels in a dance, and enjoy some informal playing time with Breakfast Club. A Bard is readily available to sell inexpensive instruments, and you don't need to be a minstrel--everyone enters Middle earth with the ability to play music and dance!
This is not band practice, but rather an alternative to Elevenses for those of us who cannot always stay up so late. Feel free to role-play, get help with Songbook, ask game questions--in other words, have fun!
Breakfast Alt-ernative~
There are over 250 SB characters at levels 20-49. Do you have an alt (or a main) who'd like to level up with skirmishes or instances? Need a break from all that lonely solo questing you've been doing? Would you like to earn marks and medallions to barter for goodies? Or just learn how to group up in a friendly environment? If so, after Breakfast in Bree, beginning around 8:30 PM server time (EST), let's try some group content, beginning with skirmishes.
Ground Rules:
1. Avoid class discrimination
2. Forgive errors
3. Be patient
4. Experiment
5. Enjoy!
All levels are welcome. I mentioned 20-49 as the bulk of our members fall in that range. For now I can offer Larksong, level 25 minstrel, or Ingrid, level 41 hunter. This is not about running perfect, formulaic skirmishes according to some wiki playbook. It's a great opportunity to dive into skirmishing for the first time or to learn, practice, or perfect some combat skills. Sure, your skirmish soldier is great, but kin buddies are even better!
If you can come to either event, please post a reply and/or sign up on the calendar. All questions, comments, and suggestions will be cheerfully accepted!

Hope y' get a good response. Sadly, I don't genrally get anyone into Middle-earth til about 9PM Server, but I'll look t' see if ye've got any open spots in yer instances. There's quite a lot o' Epic Quests an whatnot too that most o' my group ain't ever done, owin t' not havin a bunch o' folks t' work on 'em with. I 'spect I ain't alone there, neither.
EDIT:
Wait, wait! I fergot! Just last week our outfit where I spend my days got some new marchin orders that have us leavin 2 hours early every Friday! I ain't used t' it yet... But that means I'll be around a lot earlier on Fridays, can probly get in fer th' Bread an Jam Sessions too (Good name, that ^^). SO I'll probly be sein ye on Friday eve

We should have them at two different times then. One for Europeans and one for the rest of us. So hopefully most people can have a chance.

I actually had the same thought when Willow first proposed this. What would be a good day of the week and time for our Euro/US daytime crowd? I'll do my best to get one of these running for the early hours.

I know, I didn't forget you and I'm sorry but I've been wanting to post something for weeks and kept worrying about the time. Finally decided to bite the bullet and see how much interest there would be--it's so hard (impossible) to please everyone. Honestly had to pick a time I can be sure to keep up with, but will certainly adjust for US players as needed.
We already have band practice mid-day Saturdays, so I didn't want to add more there, and I'm guessing Sunday is family time for many folks. However, since I'm on pretty much all weekend, I'd love to meet up with anyone from the other side of the pond Saturdays 'n' Sundays--turning time suggestions over to you on that.
