Crickhollow Takes the Lead!
Congratulations to Crickhollow for making record time in Taking the Hobbit to Isengard. Stewin led the way and Hadacar/Sapience arrived in 1 hour 2 minutes and 31 seconds! Graye had numerous votes to be the lead, but it's not clear how Sapience chose the player he followed. More importantly, it was a fantastic, fun event that brought together much of the server. The event was streamed live on Twitch and Sapience answered questions throughout. Special thanks go to Graye, Laurinda, and all the Breakfasters who participated today!
Official Standings
1. Crickhollow 1h 2m 31s 0 Deaths
2. Elendilmir 1h 10m 6s 0 Deaths
3. Gilrain: 1h 22m 55s. 0 Deaths
4. Evernight: 2h 1m 39s. 1 Death
And in case you're thinking it doesn't look like many players in the picture, take a peek at this one:
Many folks were still outside the gates, on the way, back in Bree, or lying in a ditch by the side of the road! We had lag of Weatherstock-like proportions at times! Imagine running an event like this through Moria?!

Oi! Wisht I could've been there! ...'Course, I'd've probly got Sapience killed somehow... ;P
What's that? Evidence of my poor sportsmanship exists? It must be purged!
Seriously, though, it was quite the amusing event and the turnout from Second Breakfast alone was phenomenal. We may not have taken the route Laurinda and I planned, but it was still sufficient to secure first place. Here's hoping we can maintain the lead!
Also... if you see Stewin in-game be sure to send him a congratulatory message, nod or simple bow. I was flooded with tells once the group reached Isengard that should have gone to him. He directed the group on-the-fly, which was really quite a feat, and deserves some credit as such.
It was amazing to see Crickhollow so active! And very lively too.
We did very well indeed; now let's hope all the other servers do dreadfully. 8D
I'm glad so many of us were able to partake and had a good time! It would be great if there could be more events like this in the future.
It was wonderful to see so many Crickits come together--and of course, so many Breakfasters. We had over 150 people in our event channel, which is a channel we will use for all of our upcoming serverwide events and announcements (perhaps getting ahead of myself here, but if we develop it just right it can be our version of Landroval's Ales and Tales channel).
Seeing an event like this--and the outstanding customer interaction during Sapience's live streams--reminds me of the Turbine of old. This has been a very successful and popular project so far, and I'm sure they'll want to hold more things like this in the future. I also hope they'll start holding the supported server events that they held in the past, such as the Olde World Adventure. Seems like I'll have a few questions to ask Sapience during the next live stream.
Our time is inconsequential, really, because between this trek to Isengard and the rollicking Bread & Jam that followed it was truly a night to remember on Crickhollow.
Congratulations on a great showing! Lots of planning and preparation paid off, and Crickhollow lifted the bar both in time and fellowship! I so wish I could've been there. Second Breakfast again demonstrated the spirit of LOTRO that continues to set it apart from other MMOs and of our server's living up to its namesake as an excellent home away from home! /Salute, /cheer, /clap, /clap, /clap!!
